Trata-se, na perspectiva de Lúcio Batista, de uma “terceira via para o ensino pós-graduado” que permitiria ao ensino superior acompanhar o ritmo de desenvolvimento “das novas tecnologias. Os laser e outras, evoluem a tal ritmo que aquilo que hoje é novidade dentro de pouco tempo deixa de o ser”.
